Soul Space Yoga Community
Sequencing yoga classes is both a skill and an art, with endless possibilities that can both embrace inspiration and creativity and present a variety of challenges for yoga teachers.
This workshop is an avenue by which we will dig into the process of sequencing — how to present classes that are creative and well-reasoned, inspiring and educational, playful and safe, through lecture, skill-building exercises, and experience.
When you create yoga class sequences, do you know what you want your students to take away from your sequence? If so, does your sequence align with your intention, while connecting your students to their body throughout the asana practice? Do you struggle with making your classes accessible to multiple levels of students? Are you skilled in providing space for progress and refinement in your sequence, while keeping your students engaged and interested? These are some of the topics we will address during this workshop, along with guidelines to optimize physical safety through sequencing.
This workshop is geared toward yoga teachers, both new and experienced, but would also be appropriate for established yoga practitioners that would like to expand the possibilities with their home practice.
